Les derniers jours

Heralded by a celestial gong, a party of friends emerged from the west! Whereupon we experienced an earthquake, it snowed for 5 minutes and the sun shone like liquid marshmallow.

I was so amped to have them around I forgot to photograph them properly, so instead here's some photos of islanders from the past.

Having bathed in the island's spirit in more ways than one, the friends returned to their lands to the west.



The next day the new Gamli Schoolers and Marina & I sailed with Vidir and Gunni to Olafsfjordur to rescue a stricken fishing boat called the Niels Jonsson.

We stopped for a spot of fishing and chanced upon a school of cod feeding on Capelin.
